At the end of the 90s, trackmaker, Abeshiki who existed in the underground scene in Tokyo, released one 12" in 2010 and then abruptly disappeared. This “Tofu Jiken (Tofu Incident)” is the only record that can help us to follow his footprints. Discovered as dead-stock after 11 years, this 12" includes two tracks of abstract breakbeats and dopeful minimal house, both of which are emotional and elegant like a glimpse of the breathtaking vivid sunset sequence through the deep smokescreen.
90年代末、東京のアンダーグラウンドシーンに存在したトラックメーカー、阿部式は、2010年に12インチを1枚リリースした後、忽然と姿を消した。彼の足跡を辿る唯一のよすがとなる幻の盤、それがこの「とうふ事件」だ。11年の時を経てデッドストックとして発見されたこのシングルは、アブストラクトなブレイクビーツとドープなミニマルハウスの2曲が収録されており、そのいずれも、まるで深く焚かれた煙幕から垣間見える、息を呑むほど鮮烈な夕景色のように、情緒的で雅趣に富んだ作品に仕上がっている。
